Farmer Stewart Loew and
his wife, Laurel, grew up riding horses. In fact, a desire to live in the country and have room for horses is one of
the reasons they decided to stay on the family acreage and try to make a living on the land.
Laurel grew up riding
horses in the Bahamas where she learned about horse care, jumping and basic dressage. In the meantime, Stewart, his
siblings and their mother showed horses in Arizona, California and even New York's Madison Square Gardens in the 1980's.
Showing
horses stopped in the early 90's when all the kids went off to college and the show horses were retired to the pastures of
Agua Linda Farm. Eventually, though, horses came back into the lives of the Loews, but now with western saddles and
cow ponies!
